Pupil Leadership

Rose Hill offers a number of positions of leadership and responsibility for our pupils. The appointed pupils are identifiable by their badges, which are presented in a special assembly during the Autumn term.

School Council

Our School Council consists of two representatives from each KS1 and KS2 class. They meet monthly to discuss issues affecting pupils, contribute to school event planning, organise fundraising opportunities, and make requests for new resources and activities. School Councillors wear blue badges.

Eco Champions

Our Eco Champions consist of two representatives from each KS1 and KS2 class. They are responsible for looking after our school environment and promoting sustainability across Rose Hill by leading energy-saving initiatives, overseeing recycling projects, and helping to tend to our outdoor areas. They are also currently working towards achieving the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award and the Woodland Trust Green Tree Schools Award. Eco Champions wear green badges.

Prefects

Selected exclusively from Year 6, our 6 Prefects act as role models for the entire school community. They assist staff with daily duties, help manage assemblies, welcome visitors, and support younger pupils during lunch and break times. Prefects consistently demonstrate our core school values of respect, resilience, and responsibility in everything they do. Prefects wear black badges.

Reading Ambassadors

Our Reading Ambassadors are selected from Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 and 6) to pair up with younger readers to build confidence and foster a lifelong love for books. Meeting regularly, they share stories, help practice phonics, and support younger pupils in developing their reading fluency in a fun, supportive environment. Reading Ambassadors wear yellow badges.
