Nursery
Free Nursery Hours
All children are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education from the term after they turn three. At Rose Hill, we offer either morning or afternoon sessions:
-
Morning session: 8.30am – 11.30am
-
Afternoon session: 12.00pm – 3.00pm
Some families may be eligible for 30 hours of free nursery care per week. You can check your eligibility here: https://beststartinlife.gov.uk/childcare-early-years-education/
Admissions
For nursery admissions, please apply directly to the school, not through Oxfordshire County Council.
You can register your child using our online Waiting List and Enrolment Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfcenJBLjVzNaAGQMGMAhYDkIvUOYcR1gvzdzlyGz149I1bLg/viewform?usp=header
Once you apply, we will usually contact you the term before your child is due to start.
Home Visit and Settling In
A member of the nursery team will arrange a home visit to meet your child in a familiar environment and learn about what they enjoy. We will then discuss nursery visits and how we will support your child as they settle in.
Full‑Day and Extended Nursery Sessions
Children staying for the whole day need to bring a packed lunch from home.
If a child needs to stay for extra time, parents must check with the class teacher in advance to ensure a space is available. A packed lunch is still required, and each extended session costs £10.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office either by calling 01865 777 937 or emailing office@rosehillprimary.org.
