School Dinners
We provide delicious, nutritional school meals at a very reasonable price of £3.11 per day. All catering is done on site by Dolce and their team of experienced staff, many of whom have worked in our school for a number of years. You don’t have to book in advance, you can simply sign up in the morning when you bring your child to school.
We offer a meat and vegetarian option every day – the menus are coded to show these options but if you are unsure please do ask a member of our admin team or contact Dolce directly (contact details are on the menus). We also offer jacket potatoes and sandwiches.
If your child has any special dietary requirements it is important that you tell us. Please speak with a member of the admin team and we will give you a form to complete.
Free School Meals
All pupils in Reception, Years 1 and 2 are entitled to free school meals. Please talk to a member of the admin team if you would like more information.
If your child is in Year 3, 4, 5 or 6, you may still be entitled to free school meals and we can check your eligibility for you with a few pieces of information: please provide your national insurance number, date of birth and surname (parent’s surname rather than child’s surname).
Even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 it is still important and helpful that you complete free school meals eligibility checks, as this information is used to see if your child is eligible for additional pupil premium funding. This will help us to maximise pupil premium income, for the benefit of your child.
Packed Lunches and Food Brought into School
If your child prefers to bring a packed lunch it is important to make it balanced and healthy so that they can do their best learning. Children will not be allowed to eat nut products, chocolate bars or sweets in school.
Snacks
Children should have a healthy, balanced snack for morning break. In Early Years and Key Stage One, we provide this. In Key Stage Two, children should bring a snack from the following options: fruit, veg, cheese, yoghurt, crackers, breadsticks or rice cakes.
We are a nut-free school and we do not allow chocolate bars or sweets in school.
